Broker Registration Editorial

The Rocky Mountain News weighs in on Mortgage Broker Registration:
"HB 1161 could wipe the state off that list. It would require brokers to register with the Division of Real Estate every three years and pay a modest administrative fee. There are registration exemptions for licensed lending institutions and homeowners who are financing their own sales. "

Ramirez Skirts Jail Time

"Ramirez was one of six people indicted last year by a Jefferson County grand jury on charges that they defrauded the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development on more than $20 million in loans on 117 homes."
